Are you tired of breaking your bank and investing your precious time in skincare, only to see little or no results? Have you not got the energy to try any extensive skincare routine or trend? If yes, step out of the skincare rat race and try “Skip Care”. Skip Care is a revolutionary new approach to achieving healthy and radiant skin. It’s all about maximizing results, minimizing effort, and skincare routine.
So let’s discuss it a little
What is Skip Care?
Skip Care is a simplified skincare routine that helps you achieve radiant skin using fewer products. The goal of Skip Care is to make skincare more manageable for all. It offers more or less the same results as an extensive 10 or 12 skincare routine. However, you must use the right products and consistently follow the routine.
This skincare routine for all skin types saves money and precious time. So, cut unnecessary skincare products and steps, and go back to basics. Here is the step-by-step guide to the Skip Care routine.
Morning Skin Care Routine
The morning Skip Care is a bit more extensive than the night routine. It is because our skin has to deal with UV rays, dirt, pollution, and several other environmental stressors.
The morning Skip Care has 4 steps:
- Foam Cleanser – As we do not typically have to remove makeup in the morning, double cleansing your face is not necessary. Therefore, you should use a high-quality foam cleanser to refresh and cleanse your skin. Take a dollop of foam cleanser to your palm, add water to create a lather, and massage it onto your face in upward, circular motions. Continue massaging your face for at least 30-60 seconds and rinse it off with lukewarm water. If possible, go over with cold water to stimulate blood flow and promote a healthy, glowing complexion.
- Toner – Toners provide optimal results when applied to damp skin. So, when your skin is still damp, apply toner on a cotton pad and wipe your skin in an upward motion. Allow the toner to work on your skin for at least 4 minutes. Meanwhile, you can make your morning coffee or check your social media accounts. The 4 minutes will pass before you even know it.
- Moisturizer – Whatever your skin type is, moisturizing your skin is an essential step in a Skip Care routine. If you have oily skin, gel moisturizers are suitable for oily skin. Whereas, dry skin may benefit from moisturizers containing hyaluronic acid and dimethicone. Apply a generous amount of moisturizer to your face and neck and get ready for the last step.
- Sunscreen – Now end your morning Skip Care routine by applying sunscreen. Take a generous amount of sunscreen (about half a tablespoon for the face and neck) and Patt it into your face and neck. You can now put on makeup and step out.
Night Skin Care Routine
As stated above, night Skip Care is more simplified because our skin does not have to deal with environmental stressors. Moreover, it naturally repairs and regenerates itself at night. Therefore, there is no need to apply too many skincare products at night.
The night Skip Care routine has only 3 steps.
- Double Cleansing – Our face accumulates oil and water-based impurities during the day. Therefore, the night Skip Care starts with double cleansing. Double Cleansing removes both water and oil-based impurities effectively leaving your face clean and fresh.
- Eye Cream – The signs of aging first start to appear in the area around the eyes. Therefore, you have to strengthen and hydrate it with a good eye cream every night.
- Moisturizer – Now, apply a generous amount of moisturizer and get ready to sleep. The moisturizer at night would provide the much-needed moisture and prevent water loss. So, do not underestimate or skip it. There is no need to have a separate moisturizer for the night routine. It’s okay to have one but quality moisturizer to transform your skin.
